Who We Are

Advocate Claim Service was founded to provide policyholders, brokers, and attorneys with a dedicated claim professional to develop a comprehensive claim presentation strategy. While ACS does not sell insurance, we do make it work.  ACS's Principal Consultant, David Princeton, has resolved disputed claims resulting in tremendous results.

Advocate Claim Service is not a stereotypical  professional adjuster service.  ACS’s focus is on navigating the challenging claims that are doubtful or disputed. If you feel the insurance company’s adjuster is working against you, rather than with you, contact ACS today.

As a client of ACS, you gain access to a dedicated claims specialist working to resolve your claim. With technical knowledge across many insurance disciplines, Advocate Claim Service has established a proven track record of reversing seemingly impossible situations and turning them into optimum outcomes.

David's
Difference

My passion for insurance claims advocacy has formed over an 20 year career. First as an Adjuster, challenging management to find coverage for losses. Then as the Lead Claim Specialist for a top-50 Broker, working to secure the coverage afforded by the policy. Lastly, as a Director of Corporate Risk for a private equity group, overseeing the challenges of insurance coverage across renewable energy, construction, aviation, information-technology, agriculture, and beverage industries.

Too often, a policyholder does not have access to a strategic and knowledgeable ally who can actively guide them through the complexity involved in a claim. A policyholder is extremely vulnerable when a claim is being made. Combine the stress of the event, the impact on your business or family, and the feeling of not knowing what to expect can culminate in a deep anxiety.

My core desire is to help those in need, and I help by serving as your advocate. I give clients relief by removing obstacles, setting expectations, and handling the difficult conversations on their behalf.

I’m always willing to listen to you and read your insurance policy with no obligation.

Insurance Claim Advocacy:
The insurance adjuster and the policyholder are each obligated to act with the utmost good faith. If you’re wondering if the insurance adjuster is acting with bad faith towards your claim, get a second opinion from ACS. We are here to provide you with an insurance claim professional to review, analyze, and present your claim in the utmost good faith.
Doubtful & Disputed Claim:
Often, the coverage afforded under an insurance policy is subject to interpretation. When an insurance adjuster interprets the coverage narrowly, and doubts a claim is covered, a reservation of rights letter or a coverage denial letter must be issued. ACS's experience has shown most coverage issues can be resolved by clearing up bad interpretations.  Let ACS translate your coverage denial into a covered loss.
Pre-Loss Diligence Review:
Insurance is complicated and commercial policies can be hundreds of pages. We take the mystery out of what is buried in the contract. Proactively reading policies before a loss occurs is the best way to form an expectation of the coverage afforded. It is also a time to check the details and ensure the coverage purchased aligns with the coverage expected.

Using a vast network of insurance coverage experts, our diligence reviews are comprehensive and action orientated.
Expert Witness:
ACS's Principal Consultant, David Princeton, has provided expert witness testimony on insurance coverage issues and adjuster malpractice. Whether your problems involve claims practices or procedures, coverage interpretation or application, or allegations of bad faith, Mr. Princeton is available to review the facts. Serving both insurance companies and policyholders, Mr. Princeton's expert witness opinions are non-biased, informative, and thorough.

Operating vacation rentals remotely has its challenges.  A frozen pipe encased our property with ice, inside and out.  Finding a sheet of ice inside the house was stressful enough, and adding to the stress was the insurance company adjuster.  They came out and wrote a repair estimate for $6,000.  They ignored our concerns.  Enter ACS!  In only a few conversations ACS was able to get the claim on track!  The necessary environmental remediation occurred without a problem! The building materials were matched to the existing quality of the home.  We placed our faith in ACS and the outcome was great.  In total, payments exceeded $40,000 above the initial offer and our property got restored!

Late on a Friday night a rainstorm hit the area.  Our house was under construction and all of our antiques, furniture, and belongings were being stored in the basement.  The water flooded the basement damaging almost everything we owned.  My wife called the insurance company at 2:00am.  The following Monday the adjuster calls, tells us our policy only pays $5,000.  We called ACS!  ACS guided us through the claim process, took the time to read, analyze, and inform us about our insurance policy.  The guidance and advocacy provided by ACS was tremendous!  With their help, we recovered $32,000 towards our loss!

My claim was denied. COVID shut downs were occurring and the adjuster never inspected or explained things to me.  Bills were coming in to fix my kitchen. I was about to take out a second mortgage when the contractor recommend Advocate Claim Service. David took the time to listen, ask questions, and explain what was happening to me. He actually read my insurance policy, explained it to me, and developed a strategy to open dialog with the adjuster. With David’s guidance that denial letter was rescinded and a large check was sent to cover the cost to fix my kitchen. I would highly recommend Advocate Claim Service to anyone with an insurance claim!

Owning and managing a commercial building requires diligence.  When a hailstorm impacted our building in Janesville, WI diligence proved not to be enough.  First was the desk adjuster, then the independent adjuster, then the countless conversations that went--NOWHERE!  After--a year--we contacted ACS. Within just a few conversations, ACS got the claim going in a productive direction.  ACS supported us with highly personalized attention. The results were even better when the $30,000 the insurance company refused pay arrived in the mail!  Our experience with ACS was extremely positive, and if we have claims in the future, ACS will be our first call!

My claim was denied. COVID shut downs were occurring and the adjuster never came to my home. I was asked questions, but did not know what to say and the adjuster never took the time to explain things to me. When the denial arrived, I also received a water mitigation bill for $5,000.
